The authors here at TA are both unabashed fans of the show ‘Heroes.’ It’s a great show. If I had one complaint, its that every hero is almost directly lifted from an existing archetype from the existing comic universe. I’m only tangentially familiar with comic books any more, but I see most of the connections. Today on CNN.com, they announce the addition of the new Flash character, so the trend continues… I thought I’d pass this along:

I still refuse to care. I’ll be there as always.

Check out CNN.com — They have this weird new icon next to some of the headlines in the latest news. The little T-shirt icon links you to a page where you can buy a T-shirt with that headline on it in black, gray or white.
I wonder how many folks have ever seen a headline and said “I want a T-shirt with that headline on it … if only there were a way” ?
I dunno. I find it completely odd.

It’s amazing how many people have beautiful lives giftwrapped for them and squander it. If you haven’t been following the Briney Spears spiral over the last few years, welcome a) to earth, b) back from your coma.
Last night’s VMA appearance, we won’t call it a performance, was her latest moment of embarrassment.
Poorly lip-synched, poorly choreographed and little effort to perform. It was brutal. Don’t take my word for it. View it online — Britney Spears 2007 VMA appearance, “Gimme More” Live.
The look on her face… was she high? Did she just not care? Or is it that how she acts when she’s embarrassed? Is it possible for Spears to be embarrassed? I think that’s a valid question that needs answering.
I can’t attest to the whole show. I just watched the first 15 minutes. I couldn’t stomach much more than that. Very poorly produced, directed and designed from top to bottom.
Let’s not forget Sarah Silverman either, who blasted Spears directly after her performances. Calling Spears’ children mistakes and continuing to denigrate the woman’s children on LIVE TV shows what little character she has, herself.

Yep. Your read the title right. It’s back. The worst reality show in history is back for another season.
Who wants to be a superhero? I do, however, I don’t want to look like a total dork in public. Some may argue I do that anyway, though.
Ms. Limelight, Braid, Hyper-Strike, Mindset, Mr. Mitzvah, Basura, The Defuser, Whip-Snap, Parthenon and Hygena are the ten finalists.
We’ll be blogging about the shows, unfortunately. It’s an obsession.
Check out The Tonight Show’s Ross interviewing folks hoping to get on the show. Classic.

If you are a Jericho fan, like myself, and you got lost there towards the end of the season, don’t fret — CBS plans to play episodes 13-22 over the summer on Friday nights at 9pm starting on July 6th. Or… you can always do what I usually do and watch every episode of Jericho online.
Rumor has it that they will add even more web-exclusive content soon.

This Just In – AOL has launched “This Just In”, a site that will present the funny and quirky side of news. TJI, “powered by HBO”, is also backed by American Express and Tylenol. The site is a blog format and has video, photo slideshows and witty commentary on popular news topics.
Of particular interest to me is the video on “What happens when Arts majors try to make a living“, and “Muslims Object to “24″: “There’s No Way That All Happens in One Day.”
It’s something like we are attempting to do with TalkingApes.com, albeit much, much slower a pace (global warming is happening faster).
Nonetheless, ThisJustIn.com (not to be confused with ThisJustin) will be a daily stop on my internet thrill ride.
