Panthers to get a look at Jolley today

The Herald – Life. Captured Every Day. – Serving York, Chester, and Lancaster Counties.

Jolley was originally the Raiders second-round pick in 2002 (55th overall). In five seasons, he has 120 receptions for 1,303 yards and six touchdowns.

Signing Doug Jolley would represent a change in offensive philosophy in Carolina. The team hasn’t had a decent pass-catching TE in nearly 7 seasons. Jeff Davidson, new Panthers OC and former TE coach for the Patriots, will bring his offense to the team, and this could be one of the first indications that a TE could be a focal point in the receiving mix.
