My TV watching must be completely out of whack with society

Charlotte Observer | 12/23/2006 | Pre-emptions upset WBTV viewers

Most recently, WBTV pre-empted the network broadcast of “How I Met Your Mother” on Wednesday. About 10 viewers have contacted the station to complain, Rick said.WBTV also pre-empted “The Class” on Dec. 11 and is also planning to pre-empt “How I Met Your Mother” again at 8:30 p.m. Monday. They are the two least-watched comedies on CBS’s schedule in Charlotte, attracting fewer than 70,000 households each in November sweeps.

“How I met your mother” and “The Class” are two of my favorite shows. They aren’t crime scene investigation shows, or hospital dramas; they are good shows that are funny, interesting and entertaining. If these are the two least watched shows on CBS, then either CBS is really kicking ass with its other shows, or there is something else on Mondays opposite these shows that is really good. Isn’t Prison Break on FOX at that time? I like that show as well, but it just felt like they were dragging out a show way too long and I gave up on watching it live in lieu of watching the CBS shows instead. I can catch up with Prison Break because I can stream them online.

I posted a post on TalkingApes about two months ago regarding some of my favorite shows this season. Check it out here.
